Duties
- Assist in the procurement process by sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for materials and services.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, including contracts, pricing agreements, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the supply chain management team to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Utilize Sage 50/Peachtree for order processing and receiving.
- Support negotiation efforts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in production planning to meet operational needs.
- Coordinate logistics for incoming shipments and manage inventory control processes.
- Participate in e-commerce initiatives related to purchasing and merchandising strategies.
- Provide administrative support for purchasing-related documentation and reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials management and supply chain processes is essential.
- Experience with Sage 50/Peachtree Accounting is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of logistics, inventory management, contracts, pricing strategies, and production planning is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
