Role Description The Sales Director is a full-time, on-site role based at International House Hotel in New Orleans, LA. This role oversees all sales activities, including developing and implementing sales strategies to drive room revenue, group bookings, and event business. The Sales Director manages key accounts, nurtures long-term client relationships, and actively prospects for new business opportunities through networking, outreach, and market research. Daily responsibilities include leading and mentoring the sales team, coordinating with operations and marketing to ensure seamless guest experiences, preparing sales forecasts and performance reports, and representing the hotel at industry events and client meetings. The individual in this role collaborates closely with leadership to align sales initiatives with the hotel’s brand standards and financial objectives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Sales and Sales Operations, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong background in Business Development, including identifying new markets, building pipelines, and closing strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability in Customer Service, with a focus on high-end hospitality and cultivating long-term client relationships.
- Experience in Team Management, including coaching, performance management, and fostering a collaborative sales culture.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both in-person and in writing.
- Ability to analyze market trends and sales data to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is highly preferred, especially in boutique or luxury environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
