Position Summary: International Greenscapes LLC. is seeking an accomplished Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and control for a growing manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, cost accounting expertise, and a strategic mindset to guide financial operations, ensure compliance, and support executive decision-making. This individual will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, optimizing cash flow, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing insights that drive operational and financial performance. The Controller serves as a key member of the leadership team, managing the accounting function, overseeing financial planning and analysis, and ensuring the integrity of all financial reporting.
Supervision Exercised: The Controller directly supervises Accounting Department staff, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Cost Accounting personnel. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and reviewing work; developing team members; conducting performance evaluations; and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Directs all accounting operations, including general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
2. Ensures accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
3. Partners with the Executive Team to develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
4. Leads cost accounting processes, including product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation.
5. Maintains and continuously improves internal control systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
6. Manages daily cash operations, bank relationships, and credit facilities.
7. Oversees implementation and optimization of accounting and financial software systems.
8. Fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork within the Accounting Department.
9. Supports the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and performs ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or Controller-level role.
• Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise (Manufacturing Edition) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, drive process improvements, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
