General Maintenance (Building & Grounds)

LOCATION: International Gamco (9335 N 48th St. Omaha, NE)

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

What You'll Do

This full-time, permanent position in a manufacturing environment plays a critical role in the production of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.

The General Maintenance (Building & Grounds) role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional facility by performing a wide range of building, grounds, and light mechanical maintenance activities.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the overall appearance, safety, and operational readiness of the facility through routine maintenance, preventative repairs, and timely response to maintenance needs across the building and surrounding grounds.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Perform interior and exterior painting, surface preparation and touch-up work as needed.
• Conduct general facility cleaning, including floor scrubbing and upkeep of common and production areas.
• Perform drywall repair, patching and minor carpentry projects.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures and clearing drains.
• Assist with minor electrical tasks in accordance with safety guidelines and training.
• Maintain facility grounds, including trimming shrubs, lawn care and general exterior upkeep.
• Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal, ice control and spreading salt on walkways and parking lots.
• Ensure outdoor areas remain safe, accessible and visually presentable year-round.
• Perform light machinery work, including operating equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses and saws.
• Assist with basic maintenance and repair of industrial or commercial equipment.
• Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or fabrication projects.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations at all times.
• Read, understand, and comply with Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) and chemical handling requirements.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and power tools.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain organized work areas and accurate documentation as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

What You'll Need

• 1-2 years of experience in industrial or commercial painting preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or machinist-related work preferred.
• 1-2 years of basic carpentry experience preferred.
• Experience with maintenance and repair of industrial or commercial equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
• Welding ability required.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, electrical circuits, and safe use of power tools.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures related to chemicals and equipment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to objectively evaluate information relevant to maintenance tasks.
• Willingness and aptitude to learn new computer systems or maintenance software.
• Ability to prioritize workload, maintain schedules, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (sponsorship is not available).
