This individual must work independently of direct supervision in a field environment. The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all the challenges around them - customers, suppliers, colleagues, manufacturers, weather, and other conditions.

Role and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Must be fully committed to working safely as well as fully committed to preventing damage to the environment.
- Must possess and maintain your own set of tools.
- Responsible for diagnostics, preventative maintenance, modifications, and repair on all makes of drilling equipment and other equipment in the shop and in field environments.
- Able to read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, and schematics.
- Plan methods and sequence of performing activities assigned.
- Ensure all activities are completed as assigned.
- Prepare proper daily records and documentation of actions taken.
- Ensure the cosmetic appearance of equipment upon completion as required.
- Ensure all parts and materials not used are returned as per guidelines.
- Ensure all records kept are legible and in compliance with established methods.
- Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Communicate with others professionally.
- Enforces all policies and procedures as specified in the company manuals.
- Maintains high employee morale.
- Maintains excellent customer and employee relations.
- Possess and maintain a clean driver's license and has or can acquire a U.S. Passport.
- Must be available at a moment’s notice to respond to IDE and customer needs.
- This position requires up to 80% travel annually.
- Be responsible for conducting tasks in full compliance with International Drilling Equipment safety standards.
- Be accountable to your supervisor, your coworkers, and our customers.
- Ensure a suitable and sufficient risk assessment is carried out for all work activities.
- Promote safety in the shop and at field locations.
- Ensure the work site is safe and that all tools are used in a satisfactory condition.
- Attend and participate in pre-job safety planning and Toolbox Talks.

Education/Training/Experience:
- A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
