About the Role
International Delights is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Maintenance Manager to lead the transformation of our plant’s maintenance operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive maintenance strategy that significantly improves equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and production up time.
This leader will drive operational excellence across mechanical systems, maintenance processes, team capability, and parts/equipment management—ensuring our facility operates at peak performance in a consistent, repeatable, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical and operational issues; determine root causes and long-term corrective actions.
- Build and execute an end-to-end maintenance strategy that enhances plant performance, efficiency, and quality.
- Apply deep mechanical and equipment expertise to embed best practices across all maintenance operations.
- Evaluate skill levels across the maintenance team and implement plans to elevate technical capabilities.
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing maintenance engineering team to support long-term operational goals.
- Design and oversee a comprehensive training program introducing new processes, methods, and sustainable practices.
- Challenge existing standards, redefine workflows, and establish improved procedures and maintenance discipline.
- Plan, assign, and review work to ensure alignment with policies, quality standards, and production needs.
- Collaborate closely with business, operations, and technology partners to ensure seamless execution of change initiatives.
- Clearly communicate risks, priorities, and progress to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).
- 10–15 years of maintenance leadership experience, ideally in large-scale food manufacturing.
- Strong expertise in mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and automation.
- Proven success improving maintenance systems, processes, and performance metrics.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery/food production environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
