About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Food Packing Supervisor to oversee the setup, operation, maintenance coordination, and optimization of our packaging equipment. This role ensures smooth production, effective troubleshooting, and compliance with GMP and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SOPs for equipment setup, changeovers, parameter adjustments, and shutdown procedures.
- Assist in building and optimizing preventive maintenance (PM) plans for packaging equipment.
- Collaborate with Sanitation to develop equipment cleaning procedures; verify sanitation readiness before production.
- Train operators on proper equipment operation and best practices.
- Ensure equipment is set and running optimally to maintain packaging quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate troubleshooting during equipment issues and coordinate with Production and Maintenance during breakdowns.
- Solve technical issues related to materials, packaging reliability, and machine adjustments.
- Provide technical support for new equipment purchases, installations, upgrades, and automation improvements.
- Maintain documentation and support compliance with GMPs and internal standards.
Qualifications
- 3 years’ experience in Food packaging operations, equipment supervision, maintenance support, or a related technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of packaging equipment, films, cartons, and packaging materials.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, material, and process issues.
- Experience creating SOPs and training operators.
- Understanding of GMPs, sanitation procedures, and production safety requirements.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing.
- Familiarity with automated packaging systems and root cause analysis tools.
