What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD/CAM Designer position at International Crankshaft Incorporated?
Job purpose
CAD CAM is responsible for creating drawings and CNC programs for our Die Shop using the provided CAD CAM software.
Duties and responsibilities
· Generate CNC Programs from the CAM Software.
· Generate and modify 3D models using CAD software.
· Monitor, document, and control any changes made to CNC machines.
· Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Proactively addresses and corrects all unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
· Associate degree in CAD or equivalent experience (2-5 years)
· Experience in CAM, NXIO, WorkNC, CNC Programming, generating 3D models from 2D prints, NC programs from existing solid models using WorkNC CAM software, NC programs and 2D prints.
· Excellent print reading skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Working conditions
Requires working in open office with occasional visits to shop floor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
