What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Virtual Event Coordinator and Moderator (US-Remote) position at International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT)?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
ICERT scales its educational research and impacts global teaching communities through high-quality virtual events. To ensure these programs are sustainable and professional, we need a volunteer to help us document our processes into a repeatable resource. This toolkit will enable our staff and future volunteers to smoothly guide panels and facilitate inclusive education sessions. You will work with our leadership team to:
We have full internal buy-in from our leadership team and will collaborate closely with the volunteer. We will provide examples of past event agendas, existing raw speaker contact workflows, panel formats, and direct access to our technical platform setups (Zoom/Teams) during a comprehensive kickoff meeting. Clear communication channels will be established to help the volunteer confidently gather the insights needed to structure the toolkit.
