Summary:

This role is involved with managing safety at the jobsite. This individual will ensure that both company and client safety regulations and governmental safety requirements are enforced on the job at all times. The candidate will further ensure that all employees and subcontractors are properly trained and equipped to perform safely their respective jobs. In addition, this position assists in maintaining a jobsite that is in compliance with local and federal environmental requirements. The successful candidate will maintain a proactive safety program that involves all levels of employees and will incorporate a safety mindset into everyday activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:


•Provide direction to jobsite superintendents in safe work practices on the jobsite


•Resolve any safety issues in the field and/or for clients


•Correspond with client to ensure that the client is kept updated on all safety activities


•Maintain compliance with International Cooling Tower & Environmental Policies and all applicable client, state and federal safety rules, policies and regulations


•Ensures that pre-employment safety training is completed by all employees


•Creates and maintains employee safety training files


•Conducts daily safety inspections


•Conducts daily Job Safety Analysis meetings


•Performs and documents the performance of equipment inspections


•Investigates, reports and follows-up on all work-related injuries and accidents


•Distributes and maintains all personal protection equipment to ensure that every employee has the protection that they need and that it is maintained in a safe condition


•Ensure that chemical hazards are well controlled, and that Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained and available for review


•Determine and enforce safe lockout procedures


•Enforce the company's 100% fall protection program


•Perform such other tasks as are relevant to the position

Required Skills/Abilities:


•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Great work ethic, high integrity, and honesty


•Ability to successfully represent the company in a professional and positive way


•High degree of accuracy and efficiently in output


•Computer skills in a Windows-based and IOS platforms


•Detail-oriented and results-focused with exceptional organizational ability


•Flexibility and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, and trade partners


•Self-motivation with a strong sense of urgency and "whatever it takes" mentality


•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software


•Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desired


•Ability and flexibility to travel as needed

Education and Experience:


•High School Diploma or GED


•1-3 years' experience in high-volume craft construction environment


•3-5 years' experience in a safety-based position strongly preferred


•Minimum of CSST through NCCER training required


•TWIC card required

•Ability to take all safety trainings as required by site specific.

•Occasionally works in job trailer with varying degrees of noise levels


•Often works outdoors; may be exposed to bad weather, excessive heat, and/or excessive noise


•Often required to work at heights

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
