Job description:

International Construction Equipment Inc, a leading manufacturer of pile driving and drilling equipment, is seeking a Metal Fabricator in our Matthews, NC office.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with opportunity for overtime. The hours of the position are typically Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 3:30PM and Friday 6:00AM - 10:00AM.

This is not a training or entry level position. All new hires will be required to pass a knowledge and weld test as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities include:

· Reading engineering drawings and taking measurements to plan layout to ensure final product meets all engineering specifications

· Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

· Setting up components and sub-weldments for welding according to specifications

· Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety or quality

· Complete required tasks in the most efficient way possible to eliminate discrepancies, re-work, and missed deadlines

Your qualifications should include:

· Proven experience as a fabricator using a variety of metal fabrication tools including grinders, torches, and welding equipment and their related procedures

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

· Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing

· Very strong attention to detail

· Maintain good attendance, reliability, and willingness to work required hours to meet production schedule

· Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand on your feet during your shift, and wear appropriate PPE

This position is required to work in a shop-floor environment with periods of loud noise and extreme temperatures. The work week is primarily Monday through Friday with overtime as directed by business needs.
