Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Public Administration, or related field, Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that includes a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Fire Science or Fire Prevention, and completion of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy.
- Eight (8) years of paid fire service experience, including four (4) years at Fire Captain or higher
- Valid driver’s license
- NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
- Master’s degree
- TCFP Master Firefighter
- Fire Officer IV
- TEEX Fire Service Chief Executive Officer
- Texas Fire Chiefs Certified Fire Executive
- National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer
