Receptionist / Front Office Staff
Seeking Full-Time Receptionist (Temp-to-Perm)
Local 164 is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organized Receptionist / Front Office Staff member to serve as the first point of contact for our members and visitors. This role requires strong face‑to‑face communication skills, the ability to multi‑task in a busy office environment, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members, visitors, and guests in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for front desk and reception duties
- Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries
- Provide guidance and assistance to members as they navigate office services
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced office setting
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office area
- Utilize office equipment and computer systems for daily operations
- Communicate effectively with staff and members
Required Skills
- Strong face-to-face and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Proven multitasking and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and efficient under pressure
- Computer proficiency and Microsoft Suite fluid
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing role preferred
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy office environment
- Local candidate required; must be present Monday through Friday
- Minimum 5 years of on-site work experience in an office or customer service setting preferred
- Two professional references required
