SEC Reporting Manager/Assistant Controller

Summary

We are seeking a SEC Reporting Manager/Assistant Controller to lead all aspects of external financial reporting, regulatory compliance and accounting. This role is responsible for the preparation and integrity of financials, SEC filings, technical accounting including equity and stock-based compensation accounting, SOX compliance, and cross-functional coordination with auditors, legal, FP&A, and executive leadership. This role will be groomed to take on the controller role. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide oversight into accounting transaction processing
• Conduct research on complex technical accounting matters and document findings.
• Stay updated on emerging U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, driving the adoption of new standards.
• Lead the drafting and filing of all SEC financial documents, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, Proxy statements, annual reports and Forms 144, 3, 4 and 5.
• Ensure compliance with XBRL tagging and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Be an integral part of the Disclosure Committee assisting with earnings releases and investor presentations, ensuring accurate and transparent financial disclosures.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide insights and financial data to support investor confidence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive SOX program management, ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks.
• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to strengthen financial reporting processes.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence in financial reporting.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

·        CPA or equivalent professional certification required.

·        7 years of relevant experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and high-tech industry experience in a multinational company.

·        Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.

·        Proven experience in researching and documenting complex accounting issues.

·        Strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and drive projects to completion.

·        Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·        Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to influence senior stakeholders.
