Position Summary:
The Head Coach position within our academy is responsible but not limited to the following: For for leading the on-court development, competitive strategy, and overall culture of the IBA. Our coaches serve as a mentor and leader for rising middle and high school athletes preparing for next level opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all team practices, skill development sessions, and game-day coaching.
- Implement IBA-aligned systems for player development, accountability, and team culture.
- Recruit high-level athletes capable of competing nationally.
- Build and maintain relationships with players, parents, and stakeholders.
- Create fundraiser and sponsorship opportunities for prospective team
- Oversee game planning, scouting, film study, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure athletes meet IBA standards for character, academic progress, and professionalism.
- Coordinate with IBA leadership on travel schedules, training plans, and tournament operations.
- Represent IBA’s mission and brand with professionalism at all events.
- Driving players to national exposure events across state lines
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years coaching experience at varsity high-school level, AAU elite level, or higher.
- Proven success in player development and competitive team environments.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain talented athletes.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel nationally for tournaments and showcases.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
- Valid driving license
- Able to pass criminal and national background check
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
