We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to support the daily operations of the Colleen Hickey Lake Champlain Resource Room at ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain on the Burlington waterfront and support Lake Champlain Basin Program education and outreach initiatives in Grand Isle, VT.

This full-time NEIWPCC position will work 8 hours per day for a total of 40 hours per week, and is based out of the Colleen Hickey Resource Room at the ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT as well as LCBP’s office in Grand Isle, VT. The Resource Room is open 7 days each week, and this position will be part of a team that staffs the space on weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours events. This job requires 4 weekend days per month. A valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation are required. Travel to Quebec may be requested, for which a valid passport or enhanced license will be required. This position is not eligible for telework.

Position Overview
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Resource Room including staffing the room and delivering programs and activities relevant to the protection of the Lake Champlain basin.
- Develop and deliver watershed lessons and public engagement activities at school and community events across the watershed; share concerns with the public and provide resources for getting involved or changing behavior to benefit the watershed.
- Cultivate watershed stewardship by sharing opportunities for individual and community action.
The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and have solid attention to detail. Seeking candidates with:
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental education or interpretation, environmental science, natural resources, natural resource policy or a related field.
- At least two years of technical and professional experience with a proven record of success.
- Experience educating and presenting information to the public, with excellent communication skills and the ability to actively listen and respond respectfully to different perspectives.
- Knowledge of or experience with Lake Champlain watershed resource issues.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. NEIWPCC offers an outstanding comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees:
