What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) position at Internal Medicine Office?
We are seeking a full-time LPN to join our team. A successful candidate must be able to handle a high-paced office, multi-task and must be able to greet and serve patients and their families with a friendly smile, compassion, and skill. MEDENT practice management software experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.
All patient health Information must be handled in a confidential and proficient manner in accordance with state and federal privacy laws.
Responsibilities:
· Adhere to internal and system-wide competencies, behaviors, policies and procedures to ensure efficient work processes.
· Maintains competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences with necessary documentation
· Conducts interviews with patient to answer questions related to healthcare problems.
· Assists providers in patient examination and performs specialized procedures.
· Responsible for ordering of stock supplies and keeps appropriate records of same. Identifies and communicates educational needs of patients to their physician and does teaching in these areas upon his/her request.
· Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
· Maintains paperwork and completes in a timely fashion.
· Obtains prior authorizations for medications.
