Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) – Part-Time with Pathway to Full-Time

We are a well-established, patient-centered private practice in Clifton, NJ seeking a highly motivated NP to join our team in a part-time capacity with a structured pathway to full-time employment.

About the Role
Our practice serves a high-need patient population, including many individuals with Medicaid and limited access to care. Patients often present with acute and chronic conditions that require strong clinical skills, patience, and a commitment to education.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is bilingual (strongly preferred)
- Has a genuine passion for community-based care
- Understands the importance of patient education and follow-up
- Is reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term growth within the practice
Training & Support
We are committed to developing new providers:
- One-on-one mentorship and training
- Gradual increase in patient load (you will not be left alone)
- Hands-on guidance in managing walk-in and acute care visits
- Emphasis on building confidence, efficiency, and clinical judgment
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Provide patient education, especially for underserved populations
- Manage same-day/walk-in visits
- Collaborate closely with supervising providers (shared patient care model)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Training & Evaluation Period (First 6 Months)
- Exclusive focus on in-office patient care
- No hospital rounding responsibilities
- Continuous mentorship and performance evaluation
- Gradual increase in clinical autonomy
Following successful completion:
- Opportunity for expanded responsibilities, including potential hospital involvement
- Transition to full-time role with formalized contract
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license (NJ)
- Must have passed board certification prior to applying
- Emergency room RN experience preferred
- Strong interest in serving underserved populations
- Commitment to continuity of care and long-term practice growth
