Job Summary:
We are looking for a Recreation Coordinator to plan and coordinate day to day activities for employees and hotel guests at the Oasis at Death Valley. The position provides assistance with routine employee inquiries, both in person and on the phone, including, but not limited to employee relations, onboarding and has a strong emphasis on recreation. The Details:Position Type: Seasonal - Mid Septemper through Mid MayStart Dates: Mid September 2026Pay: $19.35Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Oversee planning and implementation of recreation program for both employees and guests with the goal to maximize participation through planning, coordinating and promotion via social media, email and flyers.
- Responsible for coordinating larger community events such as employee BBQs, team athletic programs, health fairs, and holiday events.
- Prepare and present monthly activity calendar for both guests and employees to the Human Resources Director for approval.
- Clean, inspect and maintain recreation facilities, equipment, and supplies to ensure safety and proper operation.
- Adhere to all Xanterra safety, risk, and environmental policies.
- Track all sick and vacation benefit activity for employees, departments and property transfers.
- Assist with filing, phone and processing new employees as needed.
- Perform a wide variety of administrative support tasks.
- Responsible for transporting employees from/to Las Vegas airport and/or Las Vegas bus station.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional verbal and written communications skills - strong customer service skills, proper phone etiquette and the ability to work well with others.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality related to personnel matters.
- Appropriate public contact skills in dealing with persons with diverse backgrounds; ability to deal tactfully with problem situations.
- Knowledge of office procedures, protocol and file maintenance.
- Excellent PC skills including MS Office Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to safely drive a 15 passenger van for extended periods of time.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish preferred)
Physical Requirements include:
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures when necessary.
- Must be able to lift & carry 30 lbs.
- Must be able to frequently walk, climb, squat/kneel and bend.
- Must be available to work holidays.
