The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Job Summary:The Lobby Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in public areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and visitors. This position cleans and restocks the assigned common/public areas at The Oasis at Death Valley. Lobby Attendant promotes a positive image of the property and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.
The Details:Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Start Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks)Pay: $17.20/hrSchedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (will include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Must be able to demonstrate professional and courteous behavior with all guests and employees.
- Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of public spaces and guest facilities including, but not limited to, restrooms, showers, outdoor seating/gathering areas, building hallways, offices, outdoor walkways, pool areas, elevators and function/event areas.
- Cleans windows, floors, and doors as assigned.
- Performs regular dusting, cleaning and polishing of all outdoor and indoor light fixtures, furniture, floors, doors and windows.
- Empties trash and recycling from all public garbage cans
- Ensures towels and amenities are stocked in pool and shower areas.
- May assist with shuttle service, Bell and valet.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months to 1 year previous customer service skills including ability to communicate effectively.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be available for AM and PM Houseperson shifts.
- Must be able and willing to operate floor cleaning equipment: floor scrubbers, vacuums, mops, and dust mops.
- Must adhere to all safety guidelines when using cleaning materials and chemicals
- Must be able to meet and maintain grooming standards.
Physical Requirements include:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme conditions which include extreme hot conditions in the Summer.
