Assistant Manager

Intermountain Wood Products is a wholesale hardwood distributor servicing the hardwood, cabinetry, and flooring industries. We are seeking a hard working individual as an assistant manager of our service team. Our Core Purpose is "To Enhance the Quality of Life for All We Associate With". As such, the right candidate will be focused on a teamwork environment that is fast paced, customer service centered and will assist with daily tasks of our Missoula Distribution Center with the General Manager.

Essential duties and Responsibilities

· Distribution Center Operations: Assists in inventory control by receiving and stocking merchandise, conducting cycle counts and resolving overages and shortages. Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed including sales, inventory and safety. Assist in the Department as needed and picking and loading customer orders as assigned.

· Sales & Relationship Building: Helps inside sales build and maintain relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service and responding to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotations, complaints and scheduling of deliveries. Provide customer follow-ups as needed.

· Understanding & Instruction: Completes required orientation and safety training. Continued education on products, materials, procedures and more.

Required Skills we are looking for in our Assistant Managers:

· Previous management, supervisor, or leadership experience is also desired

· Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Drive

· Ability to quickly learn product knowledge is essential

· People and communication skills

Ability to problem solve and work independently

· Must pass pre-employment screening

Preferred Qualifications:

· Minimum age of 18 to apply

· Familiarity with lumber yard, hardwoods, flooring and woodworking is desired

· Previous B2B experience

Compensation: $55,000-$65,000, depending on experience
