Job Description:

Manages the negotiation, execution and maintenance of all Intermountain Healthcare Nevada provider contracts. Works with all levels of staff and management to administer the contract review process to ensure proper review, documentation, and signature. Manages centralized contract filing / maintenance and storage.

Scope

Oversee contracts for all of Intermountain Healthcare Nevada provider contracts, as well as manages components of the Contract Department.

Job Essentials

  1. Manages contracts function and staff.

  2. Assists management and other internal stakeholders in the development and amendment of standardized contracts, and assists as necessary with the review and negotiation of non-standard contracts.

  3. Manages the contract approval process.

  4. Develops, updates, and maintains a process for the timely electronic filing / storage of all contracts to enable access by appropriate staff as well as backup for disaster recovery purposes.

  5. Conducts ongoing analysis of compliance with existing contract provisions through interviews and discussions with management.

  6. Provides training in the creation, development, negotiation, approval, execution and maintenance of contracts and standards applicable to contract structure and language.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, from an accredited institution which will be verified, in Political Science, Business Law, Business, or English.

Four years of experience working with and analyzing contracts to gain a broad understanding of standard contract language.

Intermediate experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

Legal or Paralegal experience.

Six years experience in working with and analyzing contracts.

  • and -

Experience in pharmaceutical and pharmacy network contracts management for a health maintenance organization, managed care organization, pharmacy benefits management company, or pharmaceutical company.

  • and -

Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem solving, and organizational skills.

  • and -

Excellent writing, editing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • and -

Management experience.

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.

Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

  • and -

See and read computer monitors and documents.

  • and -

Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
