Job Description

PRN Imaging Scheduler (Day or Night) — Monday through Saturday

Location: American Fork Hospital – American Fork, Utah

Status: PRN (as needed)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday (Day): start between 7:00–8:00 a.m., end 4:00–5:00 p.m.
• Monday–Friday (Night): 3:00–9:00 p.m.
• Saturday: Day shift only

Position Overview

As a PRN Imaging Scheduler, you are a critical first point of contact for patients and physician offices. You’ll coordinate imaging appointments, provide clear preparation instructions, and help keep our modalities running smoothly so caregivers can focus on excellent care.

Essential Functions

• Schedule patients for examinations and provide instructions for exam preparation.
• Coordinate emergency and add‑on examinations with technical staff and radiologists.
• Prioritize patient examinations and coordinate multiple exams across areas as needed.
• Educate patients and offices about exam content, pre‑exam requirements, and timetables.
• Serve as liaison between physician offices and the department regarding preps, medical necessity, information, and resolving issues.
• Answer and route departmental calls to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience using computers in an office setting or performing data entry and
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Preferred: Medical terminology or training; experience in a Radiology setting; Bilingual skills
  
  

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $18.93 – $27.45/hour, dependent upon specific experience

Eligible PRN caregivers may access select benefits per Intermountain Health policy.
