What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leak Survey Technician B/A position at Intermountain Gas Company?
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Using leak detection equipment, surveys the Company’s gas system to find and report the exact location of leaks. Maintains all related documents and forms to comply with Company procedures and federal guidelines. May respond to and assist with gas-related emergencies as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Leak Survey Technician B ($39.25 per hour)
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Must have basic knowledge of computer software, hardware and internet.
Leak Survey Technician A ($41.95 per hour)
- Leak Survey Tech A requires one year of credited service as a Tech B and satisfactory job performance before progression.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years' experience with Company in service, operations or construction preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect all services, mains and special area pipelines for leakage.
- Inspect and maintain leak survey equipment in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Safely operate all required tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
Leak Survey Technician B Wage: $39.25 per hour
Leak Survey Technician A Wage: $41.95 per hour
