Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized workspace
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively to support various construction activities
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, concrete, rebar, and other building supplies
- Support framing, drywall installation, roofing, masonry, and other trade-specific tasks as directed by supervisors
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements and assist accordingly
- Mix concrete using mixers or pumps; install rebar and formwork for foundations or structures
- Carry out finishing tasks including concrete finishing, plastering, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and trim carpentry
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related roles is highly preferred
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction tools and equipment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and basic construction estimating is advantageous
- Skilled in operating power tools, heavy machinery, and commercial driving where applicable
- Experience with masonry, metal stud framing, restoration work
- Strong safety awareness with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
