The Head Start Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of young children in a Head Start program. Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to early childhood development.
- Assist in creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times.
- Provide individualized support to children who may need extra attention or assistance with activities.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom setting in compliance with program standards.
- Participate in all required training sessions, including CPR certification, to stay informed of best practices in early childhood education.
- Collaborate with staff and families to support children's progress and well-being.
- Support the implementation of health and safety policies within the classroom environment.
