Position: Special Education Teacher

Location: Intermediate Area High School, Grades 9-10
Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent Contract, 7.5 hours per day

Salary: $52,547 – $102,778

What You’ll Do 

  • Demonstrate strong instructional skills and the ability to support learners with diverse needs.
  • Have a solid understanding of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all state and federal guidelines.
  • Demonstrate strong instructional skills and the ability to support learners with diverse needs.
  • Adapt and differentiate curriculum to meet individual student goals.
  • Promote academic, social, and emotional growth for all students.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support staff, and families.

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited college or university.
  • Valid PA Instructional I or II Special Education K-12 or 7-12 Certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm, patient, and encouraging approach when working with students.
  • Desire to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, families, and students.
