Intermediate District 287 is looking for a Special Education English or Social Studies Teacher for an opening with our Care & Treatment programs!
Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12, as well as transition age students (18-22 years old), from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs, primarily focused on setting IV special education, that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Start Date: New Staff Orientation begins August 25, 2026
Salary is based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule A: $51,349 - 101,853 (depending on experience and education)
Tier 3 or Tier 4 ASD or EBD licenses may be eligible for a $3,000 signing and retention bonus!

Requirements:
- Interested in candidates who are: diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Current teaching license in LD, EBD, ASD, plus Communication Arts & Literature or Social Studies, OR a valid license in another subject area & willing to get an Out of Field license
