Pharmacist In Charge – Retail Pharmacy

• The pharmacy is closed on the weekends and most major holidays. 
• Work Hours-9:00AM-6:30PM (Pharmacy will close 12:30-1:00PM for Lunch
• Pharmacy opening date 4/10/2026, would like to have an offer extended to a candidate no later than 3/16/2026

• Preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, leading a team of pharmacy technicians and managing the overall day-to day pharmacy responsibilities.
   

• Review and execute provider’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality 
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster 
• Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration 
• Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice. 
• Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient 
• Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed 
• Keep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialing 
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures 
• Responsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulated 
• Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies 
• Responsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.
• Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules. This includes advising Senior Management of any request for leave of absences or medical accommodations.
• Other duties as necessary

• Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree
• Candidates should have min. 3 years’ pharmacy manager experience. 
• Candidate should have previous retail pharmacy experience to be considered.
• MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE Pharmacist License within the state of Illinois, we cannot consider anyone that is in process of getting their license and or have not received their license.
