• The Child Protection Program was established in 2004 to provide comprehensive medical evaluations for suspected victims of abuse within the greater Philadelphia area.
• Current staff members include two board certified child abuse pediatricians, a dedicated social worker, nurse, and support staff. 
• Each year, this program provides hundreds of medical evaluations for suspected cases of physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. 
• These multidisciplinary evaluations occur in the inpatient setting, outpatient clinics, as well as the city’s regional Child Advocacy Center. 
• The team works closely with local investigators to ensure timely communication of the medical findings with each case. 
• The program is committed towards educating trainees as well as medical students, residents, and fellows in the region. 
• Prospective candidates should have a vested interest in program development and education. 

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics (Separate Fellowship)
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Graduate of an ACGME accredited Pediatric residency
• Graduate of an ACGME accredited Child Abuse Pediatric Fellowship 
• Unrestricted PA medical license at time of employment
• Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification for Commonwealth of PA
