What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Interlink Electronics Inc.?
Box Build Assembly Technician:
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Pay: $25-$30/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components into finished products.
- Build / solder small printed circuit boards with specified electronic components.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with finished products and customer returns.
- Follow assembly instructions and schematics.
- Perform test and calibration steps for assembled product.
- Have the ability & knowledge to read blueprint engineering designs and understand components used. If needed, help with any sourcing-related work.
- Electro-mechanical assembly of products is expected along with testing and inspection of products with data entry.
- Pack to ship and receiving.
- Capable of reading and understanding information contained within job travelers.
- Follow SOP and GOP standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Meet production goals and deadlines.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in electronic box-build assembly, including PCB.
- Previous experience with PCB soldering and electronics experience required.
- Able to perform small scale assembly (including in a clean room environment) and have small part dexterity under microscope
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED or Trade school
Physical requirements:
- Able to stand and sit for up continuously and/or extended periods.
Equipment Used:
- Familiarity with small hand and power tools.
- Soldering Iron, Hand tools, electronic calibration equipment and repair tools
Qualities Preferred:
- Good interpersonal and English communication skills to work with the manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Team player, self motivated, proactive and results oriented.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
