What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior WMS Implementation Project Manager - Atlanta, GA position at Interlake Mecalux, Inc.?
We are hiring a dynamic, customer-focused Junior Project Manager to work out of our Atlanta, GA office. This role will support the implementation of our WMS software, Easy WMS, at our customers’ sites in North America.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders of the project to coordinate the implementation of the WMS software.
- Develop project timelines and budgets with milestone dates for completion of work. Determine the resources required to meet deadlines. Meet with internal resources and customers to ensure project is completed according to schedule and according to our Company’s methodologies.
- Determine potential risks to completing the project on time and on budget and bring about recommendations to mitigate any potential risks.
- Resolve any potential problems as they arise, including issues related to hours invested, milestone completion, and change of scope for the software solution or technology.
- Provide support to prepare, review, and follow up the deliverables of the project, managing the quality of the project deliverables to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure the customer receives all project deliverables, including documentation, training, and support.
- Coordinate the work of Interlake Mecalux’s Developers and Consultants, monitoring the completion of their work as the project progresses and escalating issues that may negatively impact our ability to stay on time and on budget. Ensure all internal resources are adhering to the Company’s policies, procedures, methodologies, and quality standards.
- Meet with the customer to assist in their training and understanding of the WMS software.
- Write project reports, memoranda, and correspondence detailing project status and issues.
- Validate the scope of the change orders with the customer to follow up and support technical and sales department to determine the costs and negotiate terms and conditions of change orders.
- Travel in furtherance of responsibilities.
The qualified candidate possesses at least the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Computer Science, Telecommunications, etc.), Supply Chain, or related field of study.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain
- Customer Service Oriented – Experience in customer-facing roles and handling customers
- Ability to lead and coordinate diverse teams in order to achieve desired results.
- Professional communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate in difficult situations. Fluency in English is required and fluency in Spanish valued.
- Availability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
