Non-CDL Transfer & Delivery Assistant/Furniture Handler

INTERIORS HOME is looking for a reliable, full-time, non-CDL Transfer & Delivery Assistant/Furniture Handler to join our distribution center team.This is a safety-sensitive position and requires a human performance evaluation and DOT physical and drug test prior to final offer of employment.

The Transfer & Delivery Assistant is a member of a 2-3 person delivery services team, and serves as the back-up driver for the Delivery Foreman. This individual actively participates in loading and delivery, placement, assembly and removal of furnishings to and from the showrooms, distribution center, and customer homes. Light maintenance and cleaning of the trucks is expected. Based in Lancaster, the work schedule may be Monday through Friday 7:00-3:30, Tuesday through Saturday 7:00-3:30, or a hybrid schedule depending upon need. The successful candidate will also be cross-trained and work in other positions within the warehouse. This is a safety-sensitive position and requires a human performance evaluation and DOT physical and negative drug test FOR ALL SUBSTANCES prior to final offer of employment.

The successful candidate will bring to the position:

• 1-2 years of experience safely operating a 26-foot box truck
• Active Pennsylvania drivers license with clean driving record
• Proven ability to lift, carry, pull and push/shove 100 lbs without assistance
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
• Ability to pass human performance and medical DOT evaluations
