What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Delivery Associate position at Interior Trim and Supply, Inc.?
Summary
Performs a variety of activities with respect to warehouse operations and activities. Employee will unload trucks, load trucks, verify correct material, and store material. Employee will load and unload trucks making deliveries and pickups at job sites while taking proper care of both material and vehicles. Employee will support front desk operations by pulling and loading material purchased by customers in house. Employee will be responsible for keeping all operational areas clean and free from obstructions. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Specific Duties
· Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
· Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
· Perform inventory counts and controls as required by supervisor
· Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
· Report discrepancies on incoming shipments and delivery tickets
· Communicate and cooperate with customers, supervisors, and co-workers
· Safely and efficiently operate all warehouse vehicles and equipment and perform required preventative maintenance
· Comply with all company policy and procedures
· Fill customer orders generated though front counter sales
· Load and deliver material to job sites as directed by daily delivery schedule
· Unload material at job sites and store at the site in a clean and safe manner that protects the material and supports the customer's requirements
· Pick up material from job sites when required
Requirements
· Must be able to read and determine validity of delivery/pickup tickets and receiving documents
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Must be able to lift loads up to and including 100 lbs
· Must be able to obtain valid medical endorsement to drivers license
· Knowledge of surrounding highways and city streets or map reading ability
· Must be able to able to handle large vehicles including hauling a trailer and posses knowledge of load security
· Ability to drive a manual transmission truck is preferred but not required
· High School diploma or equivalent
Experience Preferred
Working experience as a warehouse worker and/or delivery driver. Experience in dealing with people as it relates to customers and co-workers. Good oral and written communication skills with all levels of personnel both in-plant and outside.
