Interior Resources Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Architecture Design (A D) Representative to serve as the primary ambassador of our brand to the architecture, design, and commercial real estate communities. This highly visible role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of design, business development, and client engagement.
The A D Representative will be responsible for expanding Interior Resources Group’s presence and influence within the A D community by educating design professionals on our services, capabilities, and product offerings, while cultivating long-term partnerships that drive project opportunities. This position plays a critical role in new business development, brand positioning, and market awareness through strategic outreach, presentations, events, and collaboration.
The A D Representative reports directly to the President and works closely with internal sales, design, and operations teams. The ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and represent the company with confidence and professionalism is essential.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted resource for architects, interior designers, engineers, brokers, and other A D professionals.
- Strategically position Interior Resources Group as a preferred commercial furniture dealership for specifications, procurement, and project support.
- Identify, target, and develop relationships with design firms and industry partners not currently working with Interior Resources Group.
- Drive new project opportunities through presentations, marketing campaigns, networking initiatives, and specification assistance.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver Lunch & Learns, CEU programs, client events, and product presentations to maintain engagement and visibility.
- Represent Interior Resources Group at industry events, trade shows, professional organizations, and networking functions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support project development, scope definition, furniture specifications, and overall client strategy.
- Participate in ongoing team meetings, training, and professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support company growth and objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the commercial furniture industry or a degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage both small and large audiences.
- Proven comfort with networking, relationship-building, and acting as a liaison between internal teams and external partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and maintain professional relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally for meetings and events.
- Strong communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing information and follow-through.
- Solid computer proficiency and comfort working within standard business systems.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or some college preferred.
