What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Laborer position at Interior Region 3, 4 and 5?
This position is located in a National Park Service Unit. The primary purpose of the position is to perform manual labor tasks involving the use of common hand-tools and simple power equipment.
SCREEN OUT:
Minimum Qualifications: I performed common laborer tasks such as those listed in A above. I did manual labor work which required frequent lifting and moving of objects and materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. I utilized most hand and power tools associated with these tasks. I performed these tasks as a skilled helper under close supervision and my work was checked during and after completion.

Responsibilities:
- Uses basic hand tools and simple power equipment such as handsaws, hatchets, clippers, hand lawnmowers to maintain buildings and grounds.
- Operates power equipment that includes visual check of the equipment, lubrication, cleaning/replacing air filters and refueling.
- Loads and unloads materials by hand or with hand trucks up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Mows lawns and performs other grounds maintenance including trimming and weed eating.
- Perform interior and exterior custodial maintenance on buildings.
- Maintain restrooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
- Empty trash and recycle containers.
