We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced finance professional to support and elevate the financial operations of a high-end residential staging company serving luxury real estate clients in New York City and beyond.
This role is ideal for a senior Financial Analyst ready to take on broader responsibility within a dynamic, project-driven environment. The position combines financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration, with meaningful visibility into executive decision-making.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strategic, discreet, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, design-driven business with fluctuating project volume and seasonal demand.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Analyze job-level profitability, staging margins, labor costs, inventory utilization, and overhead
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support leadership decision-making
- Track KPIs related to revenue, cost control, and departmental performance
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve operational and financial efficiency
Finance Team & Process Support
- Partner closely with the Controller to support financial operations and reporting accuracy
- Help improve financial workflows, internal controls, and documentation
- Support oversight of a small finance/accounting team or external vendors
- Serve as a financial resource to Operations, Purchasing, and Department Heads
Budgeting & Strategic Support
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor actuals vs. budget and flag meaningful variances
- Support leadership with scenario planning, growth initiatives, and expansion analysis
- Collaborate with Operations on cost controls and inventory investment planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
- 5–10 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, or related roles
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (financial modeling required)
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Background in project-based, service-driven, construction-adjacent, or creative industries preferred
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
Preferred Experience
- Experience in luxury real estate, interior design, staging, construction, or creative services
- Experience supporting multi-location, multi-division operations.
