In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, organization, and storage of materials within the warehouse, with a focus on handling stone slabs, remnants, and related products. Your precision, awareness, and commitment to safety will help ensure materials are handled correctly, inventory is maintained accurately, and all products are delivered on schedule to support operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and transport slabs, remnants, and other materials using forklifts, slab handlers, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials in accordance with company standards and product-handling procedures.
- Prepare and stage materials for production, fabrication, or delivery to installation teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, assisting with regular cycle counts and material audits.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage to high-value and fragile products.
- Ensure the warehouse and yard remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Follow all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and equipment operation procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse, fabrication, and logistics teams to support efficient material flow and project deadlines.
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Experience moving, storing, and handling stone slabs, remnants, or large-format materials required.
- Proven ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, A-frame dollies, and material handling tools.
- Experience working in manufacturing, stone fabrication, or distribution environments.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material tracking and movement.
- Proficient in operating slab-handling equipment and warehouse machinery.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on your feet for extended periods, and safely maneuver heavy materials.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with other departments.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
