The Executive Support & Corporate Communications Specialist supports executive leadership and assists with internal operations, corporate communications, business initiatives, innovative marketing strategies, and business development coordination within a fast-paced federal contracting environment.
This role serves as a trusted partner to executive leadership and supports a broad range of responsibilities including executive coordination, communications support, event and meeting logistics, operational administration, business development activities, and creative engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative and operational support to executive leadership, including calendar management, scheduling, meeting coordination, and travel logistics
- Preparing presentations, reports, briefing materials, meeting materials, and professional correspondence
- Supporting internal and external communications initiatives, including announcements, newsletters, corporate messaging, executive communications, and innovative marketing strategies
- Assisting with executive participation in conferences, networking events, speaking engagements, and industry meetings
- Supporting development of creative outreach, branding, recruiting, and employee engagement initiatives aligned with company objectives
- Coordinating across internal departments including Human Resources, Finance, Contracts, Security, Recruiting, and Operations
- Supporting the Business Development team by identifying and tracking federal opportunities using platforms and resources such as SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS, USAspending, and agency forecast tools
- Conducting market, agency, customer, and competitor research to support business development, capture planning, and strategic growth initiatives
- Assisting with proposal coordination, capability materials, executive briefing documents, and business development administrative activities
- Conducting research and compiling information to support executive decision-making and strategic initiatives
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information and communications
- Supporting special projects and operational initiatives as assigned
This position offers broad exposure to executive operations, communications strategy, marketing initiatives, and business functions within the government contracting industry.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- 1–3 years of professional experience in executive support, communications, administration, operations, marketing, business development coordination, or related roles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- High level of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and follow-through capabilities
- Experience supporting executives or senior leadership
- Experience within a government contracting, federal consulting, professional services, or corporate environment
- Familiarity with federal contracting processes, proposal coordination, capture support, or business development activities
- Familiarity with SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS, USAspending, or related federal market research tools
- Experience coordinating conferences, events, external engagements, or executive meetings
- Exposure to communications, branding, recruiting support, or public-facing corporate initiatives
- Experience with social media coordination, content development, or professional marketing initiatives is a plus
