Interim Healthcare is a leading provider of home healthcare services dedicated to delivering high-quality care to our patients in the comfort of their homes. We are currently in the process of undergoing CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) accreditation and obtaining Medicare Certification, and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Home Health Director of Nursing to lead this critical initiative and oversee all home healthcare operations.
Job Summary:
As the Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful CHAP accreditation and Medicare billing number acquisition process while providing leadership and oversight to our clinical teams. You will have a primary responsibility of launching the Home Healthcare from private duty services and billing to skilled. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of patient care, compliance, and operational efficiency within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. CHAP Accreditation and Medicare Billing:
- Lead and manage the CHAP accreditation process, ensuring compliance with all CHAP standards and requirements.
- Work closely with CHAP surveyors and Medicare representatives during the accreditation and billing application process.
2. Clinical Leadership and Expertise:
- Oversee and provide leadership to clinical teams, including nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies and procedures that align with CHAP standards and Medicare regulations.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical best practices and regulatory requirements.
3. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain a culture of compliance and quality assurance throughout the organization.
- Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify and rectify compliance issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
4. Staff Development and Training:
- Recruit, hire, and train clinical staff in accordance with CHAP standards and Medicare requirements.
- Provide ongoing education and professional development opportunities to clinical teams.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages staff growth and retention.
5. Regulatory Knowledge and Reporting:
- Stay updated on changes in federal, state, and local regulations related to home healthcare services.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to regulatory agencies as required by CHAP and Medicare guidelines.
6. Budget Management:
- Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the clinical operations budget.
- Monitor and control expenses while maintaining high-quality care standards.
7. Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a key liaison between the clinical, administrative, and executive teams.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall agency performance.
Qualifications:
- Experienced Home Health Director of Nursing (2 years minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field; Master's degree preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in home healthcare or related clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of Oasis
- Strong understanding of CHAP accreditation standards and Medicare billing requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire clinical teams.
- Team oriented, flexible and positive with a proactive attitude and direct communication style
