Our Hospice LPNs enjoy some notable benefits:

- Schedule- Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. Provide back-up call support when required and PRN positions available

As a Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focused on quality of life
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, RN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care
- Perform nursing services which are planned, delegated, and supervised by the registered nurse
- Assess and provide patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care
- Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family
A few must-haves for Hospice:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license in Louisiana
- At least one year of hospice experience
- CPR certification
- Valid Louisiana driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication skills and compassion
