As an LPN here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Prepares patients for examinations, testing and procedures.
- Obtains measurements of vital signs, height, and weight and records medical history.
- Assists the physician/nurse with examination and treatment of patient.
- Administers medication orally and intra-dermal, subcutaneous or intra-muscular injections as applicable to state law or regulations.
- Finger sticks, Nasal swaps, and albuterol treatments
- Performs clerical and administrative activities as assigned.
- Performs electrocardiograms (ECG), assists with x-ray procedures, and assistants in minor surgical procedures under the direct supervision of the physician.
- Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.
- May have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.

A few must-haves for our LPN:
- Valid SC LPN License in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program and active LPN license in South Carolina/Compact License.
- Two (2) year experience as an LPN. Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Must provide a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Current CPR/BLS certification required- MUST be American Heart Association
- Ability to pass drug screening and backgrounds
- Up to date required immunizations and physical exam or statement of good health
- Must meet all applicable health and physical requirements necessary to safely provide patient care
