Registered Nurse (RN) – School-Based 1:1 Student Care
Interim HealthCare is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one nursing care for an 8th-grade student at Londonderry Middle School.
This is a meaningful opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with children and wants to help a student have a safe, comfortable, and successful school day. The nurse will provide individualized medical support while helping the student participate in classroom activities, school routines, and other activities as safely and independently as possible.
Position Details

School: Londonderry Middle School

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am-2:45pm

Setting: Middle school / 1:1 student nursing care
Student Care Needs
The student has medical and developmental needs that require skilled, individualized nursing support throughout the school day.
The RN will provide care and monitoring related to:

Epilepsy and seizure monitoring
-
Oculogyric symptoms and changes in the student's condition
-
Fatigue and changes in energy or alertness
-
Fine- and gross-motor difficulties
-
Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
-
Support with physical activities and school routines as needed

Close monitoring of the student's health, comfort, safety, and ability to participate in school activities
Because the student's medical needs can affect energy, movement, coordination, and participation, the RN must be attentive and able to recognize changes in the student's condition.
Responsibilities
The RN will:

Provide compassionate, individualized 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day.

Monitor the student's health and watch for changes in condition, including seizure activity, oculogyric symptoms, fatigue, or other medical concerns.

Assist with activities of daily living and personal care while encouraging independence whenever possible.

Provide support with fine- and gross-motor needs and other physical-care needs as appropriate.

Monitor the student's comfort, safety, energy level, and ability to participate in classroom and school activities.

Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in the student's condition and communicate concerns promptly.

Work closely with teachers, school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers.

Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.

Follow all school, district, and nursing policies and procedures.

Provide a calm, patient, supportive, and nurturing presence throughout the school day.
Qualifications
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Hampshire

Minimum of one year of clinical experience within the last five years
-
Pediatric, school nursing, seizure/epilepsy, or complex-care experience preferred

Current CPR certification required

Comfortable providing hands-on care and assisting with personal care and physical needs

Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with school personnel, families, and healthcare professionals
