What You'll Do
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide exceptional patient care and help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Providing therapeutic exercises, interventions, and modalities
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising therapist
- Educating patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery techniques
- Maintaining accurate documentation and patient records
- Ensuring a safe and organized treatment environment
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver the highest quality care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Current Maine PTA license in good standing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a healthcare team
- Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
