As an IR Tech, you will:
- Assist radiologists during interventional procedures by preparing and maintaining imaging equipment.
- Position patients and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment to capture real-time images.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Prepare contrast media and assist with patient monitoring during procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
- Document procedures and update patient records accurately.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
A few must-haves for IR Techs:
- Active Rad Tech licensed with in the state of Indiana
- 2 years of recent and related experience, as required by facility
- Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure
- Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by facility
