THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION LOCATED IN OUR SIOUX FALLS, SD OFFICE.
Payroll Assistant Essential Functions:
- Performs weekly payroll activities, including, but not limited to tracking invoices, verifying shifts/visits, calculating mileage and pay, making appropriate deductions, auditing and processing weekly payroll.
- Complies with all federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding the payroll function using appropriate accounting standards.
- Generates billing information from the system and sends to appropriate party.
- Provides reports and information to management on billing activities, as needed.
- Performs other assignments as requested and assigned.
- May have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.
- Associates degree in accounting or other relevant degree preferred but not required.
- One (1) year billing and payroll experience, preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Demonstrated affinity for and accuracy with numbers and calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks, changing priorities, short deadlines and heavy workload.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
