As a Personal Care Aide / Caregiver - PCA, you will assist clients with activities of daily living while providing companionship, emotional support, and personalized care.
Responsibilities of Personal Care Aide / Caregiver - PCA:
- Provide personal care and support to clients in a home setting
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation assistance
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
- Provide medication reminders and observe/report changes in client condition
- Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Offer companionship and participate in activities clients enjoy such as reading, games, puzzles, and hobbies
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and care team members
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in the state of Virginia preferred
- Six (6) months of healthcare experience preferred
- CPR certification and TB test required
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
