About the Role:
The Accounting Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of the organization by managing day-to-day accounting tasks. This position ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely, supporting the overall accounting department and contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for reconciling bank statements, processing invoices, and managing accounts payable to maintain up-to-date financial records. Additionally, the role involves preparing journal entries, handling accruals, and assisting with job costing to provide detailed financial insights. Working collaboratively within a team environment, the Accounting Clerk supports the finance team in meeting deadlines and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in bank reconciliation and accounts payable processes.
- Familiarity with journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with job costing in a corporate or construction environment.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
