What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ink Technician position at INTERFLEX ACQUISITION COMPANY LLC?
The purpose of this position is to control the ink inputs to the printing process. The main objective is to deliver “Press Ready” inks to the presses in a way that makes the inks trouble free. Additionally, this position requires strict adherence to all health and safety regulations regarding hazardous waste.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive and inventory inks.

Perform ink draw down tests to ensure color correctness.

Adjust ink viscosity’s and strength and stage ready inks for each press.

Closely manage ink returns and restocking.
-
Prepare waste inks and solvents for disposal maintaining proper records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Problem Solving: Be pro-active in recognizing/defining and resolving problems.

Communication: Utilize effective communication methods through reports and training sessions.

Planning: Prioritize routine tasks, duties and assignments.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Understanding of how to apply color theory in preparing inks for use.

Ability to manage ink and solvent inventories.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.
EXPERIENCE:

Must be a high school graduate.

Prior pre-press experience a plus.
