The Program Director is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, coordination, education (of volunteers and staff), and evaluation of Interfaith Caregivers programs within Polk County. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, able to build relationships, and work collaboratively. They must have experience in non-profit or community-based programs with keen awareness of the support necessary for individuals to remain as independent as possible.
Responsibilities
- Write grants, promote fundraising activities, and program development.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate county-wide service programs.
- Maintain accurate financial and program data, reports, and records.
- Supervise, recruit, train, and support volunteers and staff.
- Lead orientation and continuing education sessions for staff and volunteers.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community groups, agencies, and donors.
- Represent the organization at community meetings and outreach events.
- Ensure services align with Interfaith Caregivers mission and quality standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, nonprofit management, human services, or related field required.
- 3–5 years of experience in program management, volunteer coordination, or nonprofit work.
- Supervisor experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with data tracking, financial reporting, and program evaluation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency with Office, data management software and QuickBooks.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
